HBCU Beauty of the Week

Campus Life

Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have a rich history and culture that sets them apart from other higher education institutions in the United States. Even though many students find studies, and midterms very exciting we like to have fun outside of the classroom too....#Campus Life

One of the most exciting aspects of attending an HBCU is the opportunity to participate in the various cultural events that take place throughout the year. From homecoming celebrations to step shows and musical performances, HBCUs are known for their lively and energetic atmosphere. Students can expect to see a wide range of musical genres represented at these events, including hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and gospel music.

These events are spaces to unwind, relax and get lit with some of your closest college friends. Student hosted events and activites gives peers time to shine as they start to brand their names and learn how to plan and organize an event.

Students also often gather in common areas, such as the student union or the library, to socialize and study together. These informal gatherings are an essential part of campus life at HBCUs. Like this fire a$$ fashion show put together and hosted by the Underground Fashion Club Organization.

Campus Life offer everything from events to joining a beautiful team of talented women such as Cheer, and Dance. Helping spread school spirit to everyone.

While HBCUs also offer plenty of opportunities for students to have fun on their own. Many HBCUs have large green spaces, which are perfect for picnics, playing sports, or just hanging out with friends.
