Crunchy Cereal Infused French Toast:
A Brunch Sensation

Indulge your taste buds in a culinary adventure that combines classic French toast with a nostalgic crunch. Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of thick bread (brioche, challah, or your preference)

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 cup cereal of your choice (Captain Crunch, Fruity Pebbles, etc.)

  • Butter or oil for cooking

  • Maple syrup, fresh berries, and powdered sugar for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cereal Coating:

    • Start by placing your chosen cereal in a resealable plastic bag. Use a rolling pin or your hands to crush the cereal into coarse crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a shallow dish.

  2. Whisk the Egg Mixture:

    • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

  3. Dip and Coat:

    • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a bit of butter or oil to coat the surface.

    • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well soaked.

    • Place the soaked bread slices into the cereal crumbs, pressing gently to adhere the cereal coating to both sides.

  4. Cook the French Toast:
